God Himself Has severally told mankind that only themselves can change their situation, either for good or for bad. Nigerian situation cannot be any worse, we therefore have to change it for good . A former leader once asserted that, ‘nobody will come from outer space and do it for us, but ourselves’.
To say that Nigeria is in a bad shape is the understatement of all time. It is in a terrible shape, and if care is not taken, there may come a time when there will be no country called Nigeria to have any shape at all. ‘God forbid’, all good compatriots will chorus. But the truth of the matter is that the country is heading exactly that way, with a ‘foreigner’ as President and Commander in Chief, and most of its lawmakers that are more interested in making money for themselves than making laws for the good running of the country.
He single handedly awarded the contract for the construction of the Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway, without the knowledge of the federal lawmakers, let alone seek for their approval. Before it, he also purchased from his masters’s country a brand new plane, a brand new yacht and a brand new Cadillac Escalade official car, without the knowledge of the lawmakers.
For this reason, and the infrastructural development of the country, people in Nigeria like Senator Ali Ndume, need to team up with like minded people, and save the country from the destruction being purposely brought on it by the present Tinubu led regime. Otherwise, the citizens of the country would one day wake up to find that they have no country to call their own.
It would appear that the president is determined to obliterate most of the country, North in particular) at all cost, no matter how much the people oppose him. He has severally ignored the National Assembly (NASS)) to do as it pleases his Western hemisphere masters. He single handedly ‘awarded’ the N15.6 trillion Lagos to Calabar Highway.
The Tax Reform Bill, is another CONTENTIOUS matter that has the potential of tearing the country apart, an evil desire that is ogled forward by the Western powers for their selfish ends. In the (not prayed for) event that the country breaks the West would have an unfettered access to many mineral resources that they would have otherwise pay a huge price for, even though most of payment would disappear into private accounts because of rampant corruption in Nigeria.
The constant ‘collapse’ of the National Grid under this regime, and the retention of the minister in charge of the power ministry in the cabinet reorganisation carried out by the president is another matter of great concern to all patriotic Nigerians. Why is the National Grid always ‘collapsing’ with no heads rolling if it is not DELIBERATE? The National Grid has so far ‘collapsed’ for 13 times this year (2024), and still counting. All the incidents affects nearly all the Northern region.
The preponderance of the president’s tribe people in his appointments, is yet another matter of great concern. The situation has got to a reprehensible point that one person from the Eastern part of the country, refers to the government as the Federal Yoruba Government’. There is no exaggeration in the man’s assertion, because of the extremely high number of people from the Southwestern part of the country in the present government. A development very disturbing to most people from the area, who had rightly believed that the president only came to enrich himself, not to help develop the country.
It is therefore time for Senator Ndume to go back to the drawing board and think of the right people to team up with to save Nigeria from the people who think only about themselves ALL the time, without regards to the people they are representing. There are the likes of his state governor, the intrepid Nigerian in a far away foreign land, the fearless and helpful Nigerian and a no nonsense retired military officer, who appears to know the problems of the country and how to go about solving them, among many others in the country.
The tone of the article may sound like that of a holier than though preacher. It is so, because almost the whole of the Nigerian society has become a moral preacher of sorts, on account of the very severe hardship DELIBERATELY created in the country. Everybody, except the few elite in the Villa, in high government offices, in the National Assembly (NASS), some members of state Assemblies, their clerics, their praise singers, their cronies, and the very wealthy business people.
May God give Nigeria a way of the tight hold of its corrupt, authoritarian, incompetent and inept leaders, and replace them with those who have His fear and the love of the citizens in their hearts.
